How do you know this house's neighborhood?

I'm house hunting and checked this place out.

Kid population

(How many kids live in the immediate vicinity of this home? What ages are they?)

This is kid heaven, population-wise, for kids 0-5. There are about nine here within three houses to the left and right on both sides of the street. For elementary age kids, it's also quite good.

Play opportunities

(Do kids play outside around there? How often? In the streets, the fronts of houses, or the back yards?)

There's a *great* organic children's garden across the street and one house over. See my article on this at http://pamp.playborhood.com/site/article/the_woman_of_my_dreams/. However, I've seen very kids outside here in the half dozen or so times I've passed by this street. Since so many are preschoolers, this could be something that changes in the next few years.

Adult community

(Do adults spend time in front of their houses and walking around the neighborhood? How well do they know each other?)

This seems to be a fairly good adult community, but I haven't observed much.

Other Comments

It's not a cul-de-sac, but there's not a lot of car traffic here. The elementary school that you'd hope for your kids to attend, Duveneck, is .6 miles away, but it's an easy straight shot right down Dana.
