Kid population

(How many kids live in the immediate vicinity of this home? What ages are they?)

Baby - Kindergarden - 18 Elementary school - 17 Middle-High school - 12

Play opportunities

(Do kids play outside around there? How often? In the streets, the fronts of houses, or the back yards?)

Most weekends the street corner at Holly Oak is blocked off with signs and kids play in front - Big wheels, Skateboards, bikes, ball. Tree house in front yard. Chalk drawings in streets.

Adult community

(Do adults spend time in front of their houses and walking around the neighborhood? How well do they know each other?)

Lots of walking dogs and kids. We know each other well the moms have a Wine & Whine club that puts on an annual Block party. Tables in the streets, music, we rent a bouncy bounce, and there is tons of food.

Other Comments

No through traffic on U shaped Holly Oak since Ames is the direct route. Kids bike to school, Mid-town shopping (& Baskin Robins), & Charleston center (Ricks Ice Cream). Mitchell park/Library is close. Kids spend the summer at Eichler Swim & Tennis club (2 blocks away on Louis) and YMCA is around the corner. Also a dozen churches in walkable distance.
